What happens if I cancel my claim?

If you cancel your claim at any stage and we have already paid costs on your behalf (such as recovery or storage), you will be responsible for paying those costs.

What does insurance mean?

Insurance is a way of protecting yourself financially if something goes wrong. You pay a premium, and in return your insurer may cover the cost of certain losses or damage, depending on your policy. For example, motor insurance can help cover repairs, theft, or damage after an accident.

What is the difference between a fault and non-fault claim?

A non-fault claim is when your insurer can recover all costs from another party. A fault claim is when your insurer cannot recover the costs (even if the accident wasn’t your fault). Examples: Someone hits your car and your insurer recovers the cost → non-fault Your car is damaged, we have paid for repairs but we cannot recover the full costs → fault Important: All claims must be declared to insurers, whether fault or non-fault If your claim is still ongoing, it may be treated as fault until costs are recovered

What should I do if I am involved in an incident?

Stop safely Pull over when it is safe to do so Exchange details If asked, you must provide: Your name and address Insurance details Vehicle registration If you are not the owner, give the owner’s name and address Do not admit fault Collect information If possible, gather: Other driver(s) details Phone numbers Vehicle registrations Witness details Photos of the scene (if safe) Record additional details Injuries Police involvement and reference numbers Once you have this information, contact One Call Claims and we will guide you through the next steps.

Who are One Call Claims in relation to my motor claim?

One Call Claims is a claims management company authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) (Firm Reference Number: 714016). We handle claims on behalf of One Insurance Limited and also provide accident management services for other insurance customers involved in non-fault incidents.

What is an accident management company?

An accident management company helps if you’ve been involved in a non-fault accident. They can arrange: Vehicle repairs and replacement vehicle on a credit basis In many cases, costs are recovered from the at-fault party’s insurer, so you may not need to claim on your own policy or pay an excess.

What happens after I make my claim?

We aim to handle your claim as quickly and smoothly as possible. The time it takes will depend on the details of your claim and whether we have all the information we need. Once your claim is set up, we’ll keep you updated. You can also track progress and see if we need anything from you by selecting ‘View My Claim’ at: https://www.onecallclaims.co.uk/view-my-claim/
